Brulte studied political science for a year at Temple University after graduating from Bishop Neumann High School in 1964. He worked as a stock clerk at the old Gimbals department store, and enjoyed playing football and ice hockey. He was engaged to be mar~ ned when be entered the Army in October 1966. Brulte was ordered to Vietnam in Dc-camber 1967 and took command of a platoon in Company D, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, The 21-yearold sac-end lieutenant died in Thua Thien Province during the Battle of Hue on Feb. 15, 1968. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star. Brulte was survived by his parents and a sister
