A Bucks County native, Jeremicz attended North Penn High School and worked as a carpenter�s assistant before enlisting in the Marine Corps in October 1962. He served as a rifleman, maintenance man and, during his second tour in Vietnam, a military policeman with Company G of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. The 20-year-old lance corporal died on Dec. 18, 1965, in Quo Son, Quang Tin Province, during Operation Harvest Moon. Jeremicz was survived by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
