Robert J. Chambers

Chambers enlisted in the Army in October 1965 after attending Germantown High School, and was stationed in Germany for nearly two years before volunteering for Vietnam. The 19-year-old specialist four, a rifleman, gunner, and forward observer, was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. Chambers was listed as missing in action a month after he arrived in Vietnam, and was declared dead on Feb. 13, 1968. He was survived by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
