Harold T. Gillis

Gillis�s favorite pastime was music, and he loved singing "The Duke of Earl" with friends anywhere, anytime. He had been an active sportsman in Overbrook High School, which he left to enlist in the Marines Corp in June 1966. "Being a fighting Marine took precedence over anything," his mother remembers. The twenty year old corporal, a field radio operator, was killed in Quang Nam province, Vietnam, on May 10th, 1967, during operation Beaver Cage. He was survived by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
