Jordan enlisted in the Marine Corps a month after graduating from Germantown High School in June 1966. Although he had been wounded, Jordan extended his tour of duty in Vietnam with Company I of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, and 1st Marine Division. The 19 year-old lance corporal died in Quang Tin Province, leaving his parents, a several brothers and sisters.
