Moore attended Thomas Edison and Dobbins Vocational high schools and worked as a carpenter�s apprentice before enlisting in the Marine Corps in July 1966. The 19.year-old private first class, a rifleman in Company A of the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, died in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnarn, on Feb. 22, 1967. He was survived by his mother and a brother.
