Cook graduated from St. Francis High School in Cornwells Heights, Bucks County, and worked as a welder before enlisting in the Marine Corps in September 1966. The 2O-year-old lance corporal, a team leader, took part in about 25 operations in Vietnam with Cornpany of the 1st Battalion. 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division. He died in Quang Tri Province on March 7, 1968. He was survived by his son and mother.
